A group of 300 producers will gather in Campos Gerais this Tuesday (25) for another edition of the Volta Mineiro de Cafeicultura 2022. The event is promoted by Emater-MG, in partnership with the Federal University of Lavras and the Institute of Support for Teaching, Research and Extension (Faepe).

Starting at 13:14 p.m., at the city's Senior Citizens' Club, participants and visitors to the stands selling supplies, machinery and equipment will be able to register. At XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., there will be a lecture entitled “Coffee Tree Irrigation in Times of Climate Instability,” by agricultural engineer Antônio Martinez. Other topics to be discussed include “New Technologies for Coffee Farming,” “Building Fertility in the Soil Profile,” and “How to Be Happy Producing Coffee.” There will also be a donation of coffee seedlings, a raffle, and a celebration.

“It is an important strategy to ensure productivity in the face of climate instability. At these events, we try to provide producers with technical information in a language they can understand. And, when we visit the farms, depending on each person’s investment interests, we provide specific guidance,” commented the coordinator of the Emater-MG regional office in Alfenas, Kleso Franco Junior.
