
Heavy clouds in the northern part of Brazil bring considerable amounts of rain to the region. The forecast is for up to 100 mm in the south of Pará and northern Rondônia until next Saturday (29). With the progress of the cold front, accumulations of 50 mm in other areas, such as the coast of Bahia, the interior of Matopiba and the north of Mato Grosso.
In the Mid-South, there is a reduction in rainfall, which does not mean a lack of rain. In Minas Gerais, for example, up to 30 mm is expected. São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul and the three southern states should receive around 15 mm during this period.
From October 30 to November 3, the rain is expected to remain concentrated in the northern region, although with lower volumes. However, up to 50 mm is expected in the south of Mato Grosso do Sul, mainly in the border with Paraná. In the week between the end of this month and the beginning of the next, there will be the arrival of a new cold front, which will contribute to the amount of rain in the region.
From November 4 to 8, the trend of accumulations concentrated in the northern part of the country still prevails. In the areas of Matopiba, it rains around 30 mm. However, the news is Mato Grosso, where the volume should reduce significantly, with only 5 mm. The same happens in the region that includes Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
However, the exception may be Minas Gerais and eastern Santa Catarina, with 15 mm of rain. This pattern of reduced precipitation in the South is typical of years with the incidence of La Niña.
