Registration is now open for producers interested in participating in another edition of the Essência Gastronômica Fair in Divinópolis, in the Central-West region of the state. The event will take place on the 29th, from 10 am to 18 pm, at Praça da Bíblia, in the Bela Vista neighborhood.
Producers of food, metal and wood household utensils and handicrafts will be selected. The notice is available on the Divinópolis City Hall website. Applications can be submitted until October 25th and interested parties must fill out the participation form.
According to the city government, the goal of the Feira Essência Gastronômica is to promote local production, both in terms of gastronomy, culture and entertainment. The project is supported by “Prato da Casa”, a traditional culinary festival in the city. The selected producers will have the opportunity to sell and promote their products during the fair.
Three food producers, three artisans and three producers of metal and wood household utensils will be chosen. Those selected will be able to share a tent provided by the municipality. They will also have the option of bringing their own tent to use individually, with the responsibility of setting up and taking down the tent.
Food producers may only sell dishes that are not ready for immediate consumption, but tastings may be offered. If there are more than three interested parties in each category, a selection will be made based on the following criteria:
• Being a micro-enterprise or individual micro-entrepreneur (MEI) – 20 points;
• Have at least one active social network with the last post published no more than 30 days ago – 5 points;
• Have experience participating in gastronomic and/or craft fairs and events – 5 points per fair;
• In the case of artisans, having more than 3 years of experience – 10 points;
• Have a current registration in the Registry of Tourism Service Providers (Cadastur) – 10 points.
The result will be published on the 26th, on the Divinópolis City Hall website.
