Pig slaughter in Mato Grosso declines in September

    The total slaughter of swine in Mato Grosso presented recoil of 2,92% in September compared to August. This scenario is linked, according to information from the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (IMEA), at the lowest slaughter of females.

    The numbers were released by Imea this week, based on data from the Mato Grosso Agricultural Defense Institute (INDEA-MT).

    According to the survey, in September, 275,39 k heads of pigs in the state. From this volume 129,63 thousand were females.

    The data also show that in the monthly variation there was fall of 7,48 % in sending females for refrigeration units.

    Pig slaughter continues to rise this year

    On the other hand, when analyzing the slaughters in accumulated of year there is a 1,93% increase compared to 2021. From January to September, 2,48 million pigs were slaughtered.

    Which, according to Imea, showed better adjustments between supply and demand for pork in Mato Grosso.
