In the wheat market, the harvest is in the final stretch; production in Rio Grande do Sul may be recorded
A wheat harvest is approaching its final goal in some Brazilian regions. In Rio Grande do Sul, in particular, in addition to the production possibilities registered, the agents interviewed by Cepea report that the cereal is of good quality.
That said, while ongoing negotiations are more intense than in other markets, Cepea is also monitoring them. Grain prices do not go to the domestic wheat market, they are influenced by external and dollar devaluations, as well as by the increase in grain supply.
According to the analysis of the previous week, “The wheat harvest in Brazil continues to advance and has already exceeded 70% of the area allocated to the cereal, with emphasis on Paraná, one of the main producing states, and therefore field work is in the final stretch”.
